The Daily Walk
Every morning, Rosa and I walk through Stokkebjerg before I paint.
These walks ground me in what I'm painting: the magnificent, divine power that every animal carries.
I paint that power. That sacredness. That presence.
And when you see it – when you truly connect with one of these Fylgja – something opens. The bond becomes visible. Your relationship with the animal world deepens naturally.
The Animals Called Me Back
I didn't always paint Fylgjar. Like many of us, I spent years disconnected from the natural world, from my own intuition, from the ancient wisdom that runs through our blood.
But the animals wouldn't let me forget. They appeared in dreams. In meditations. In the rustling of leaves during my morning walks. Until finally, I listened.
Now, I see my role clearly: I paint animals as the divine being they are.
Not as resources, not as decoration, but as guardians, teachers, and mirrors of our deepest selves. When you see that power clearly, connection happens naturally.

She's my Fylgja, my true companion and studio partner.
Every painting is created with her presence—sometimes supervising from the couch, sometimes insisting on forest walks when I've worked too long.
Rosa taught me what I now paint: that the bond between human and animal isn't mythology. It's real. It's daily. It's sacred woven into the ordinary.
She's the living embodiment of Fylgja—proof that our spirit guardians walk beside us in studios, in forests, in every mindful moment.
The Odsherred Connection
There's something about this place. The same ground that inspired Bronze Age artisans to create the Sun Chariot—a masterpiece of spiritual art that traveled across Europe—now inspires these paintings.
I believe places hold memory. This landscape has witnessed thousands of years of humans seeking connection with the divine, with nature, with something larger than themselves.
